Rotork and Limitorque are manufacturers of electronic non-intrusive actuators. iVact’s iVM actuator range offers similar products but with better capabilities than competitors such as Rotork and Limitorque. The iVM Range is a multiturn actuator utilizing a Brushless DC (BLDC) motor. The actuator can be coupled with a spur or bevel gear to achieve higher torque outputs for multiturn applications or coupled with a worm gear for quarter-turn operating applications on valves and dampers.
The iVM Range models are supplied standard with the most common types of actuator control. They can be controlled with a digital signal (ON/OFF with a maintained or pulsed signal), an analogue signal (Modulating with a typical 4-20ma signal), or with a BUS network such as Modbus or Profibus. The IVM Range is supplied with field selectable speed adjustment so the user can adjust valve operating times without the need to change out the motor and gearing.
